Best Self-Expelling Robot Vacuum and Mop Combos
If you're looking for a robotic mop and vacuum cleaner that is easy to installation and maintenance, we suggest getting one that comes with a convenient base station. This makes it easier to clean or replace cleaning pads, as well as empty and clean the soiled water tank.
Also, consider a device that is connected to Wi-Fi so you can set automated/set run times, map your home, and use mop/vacuum switching features.
1. Roborock S7 Max Ultra
This powerful robot vacuum and mop is a true workhorse. It cleans floors, recognizes rug rugs, and then automatically empty its own dustbin and water tanks. It also has a powerful suction and even dispensing detergent. All this comes at a cost of $1200. It's also the most expensive robot mop and vacuum package I've reviewed.
www.robotvacuummops.com is easy to install straight out from the box. When you plug it into the wall, it will prompt you to map out your home with sensors. It will continue to use that data to stay clear of obstacles. During our testing it was able to avoid getting stuck on power cords, long curtains, and even dog toys. It's not perfect but it occasionally encountered obstacles like tangled wires, the odd book or toy.
The S7 Max Ultra can be controlled by its smartphone app. This is where you can find all the sophisticated features that set it apart from other robot vacuums and mops. These include room-specific cleaning and mopping settings, a schedule planner mopping and vacuuming ranges, as well as integrations with Google Assistant and Amazon Alexa for smart home integration. The extensive features set means the S7 Max Ultra can do almost anything a standard robot vacuum does, but at only a fraction of the cost.
The S7 Max Ultra vacuuming is impressive. It did a great job of removing pet fur, dirt, and other debris on hard and carpet floors. The automatic feature for emptying the dustbin worked flawlessly during our tests, which was very reassuring. It also boasts 5100 Pa HyperForce suction rating, which is significantly superior to the 2,500Pa suction power of the S6 MaxV and S7.
The S7 Max Ultra mopping performance was also excellent however it wasn't the best. It employed a microfiber mop which can absorb liquids and use sonic vibrating technology to scrub floors as high as 3000 revolutions per minute. This was quicker than the X1 Omni circular pads which rotate at 180 rotations per minute. The S7 Max Ultra's ReactiveAI 2.0 obstacle recognition system was excellent. During our tests, it never got stuck on anything, and it avoided power cords, curtains, and other obstacles all the time.

2. Narwal Freo
Cleaning your floors and vacuuming is a chore that we all hate, but are essential to maintain a clean home. It's also a messy and oftentimes stinky task, which can be difficult to get done as it involves cleaning up the dustbins and water, and ensuring that hair or debris doesn't block the traps or brushes. Robots that mop and vacuum have become extremely popular. However, many of these machines still require users to manually empty the dust bin and wash and rinse the mop pads. This can be a pain especially if you have to do it a few times during the cleaning process or after each cleaning session. This is why we're pleased to see that a lot of manufacturers are introducing self-emptying robotics that will make the entire process easier and less stressful.
The Narwal Freo, the newest addition to the robotic cleaners category is packed with a range of improvements in sensors, software, and hardware that are designed to keep it at the leading edge. This includes the patented DirtSense technology and Smart-Swing feature, which both help to detect the floor surface being cleaned and automatically adjusts the cleaning mode depending on the kind of floor it is. The Freo also monitors dirt and automatically cleans mops once they are full. This increases the effectiveness of subsequent cleaning sessions since it does not return to areas that are soiled.
The Freo is also a step forward over its predecessor in that it can be controlled directly via the LCD touchscreen on its base station. This is in addition to the app for smartphones. This is the first robot vacuum and mop combination that has this feature. It's a nice addition for those who don't wish to use the app. You can even alter the routing during the session using the LCD screen controls.
The Narwal Freo is also quiet when in suction mode with a noise level of only 63dB. The Freo's maintenance process is not completely hands-free, however. You'll need to clean the main brush roll as well as the side brushes regularly.
3. Ecovacs Deebot t9+
The Ecovacs Deebot T9+ is available at The Good Guys (for $1279) and is one of the most advanced self-emptying robotic mop and vacuum combos. It is capable of mapping your home, cleaning and mopping, while spotting and avoiding obstacles. It can even spout an air freshener.
The app creates a map of your home that can be used to clean. It's easy to install. The app lets you choose certain rooms or areas to be cleaned. You can also select the time you would like it to start working, so your floors are clean while you're asleep or away.
In our tests in our tests, the T9+ was extremely impressive in its ability to navigate obstacles. However, it did have an inclination to take slightly erratic routes around the house, which frequently resulted in it ending in the exact place it had started cleaning just a few minutes earlier. It didn't happen very often but enough to be noticed.
The T9+ comes with a selection of accessories, including the robot cleaner, docking station and an automatic-emptying station. The mopping module, and the dust bin replacement are available separately.
The improved navigation, mapping, and obstacle detection systems are designed to keep your home tidy without interruptions. The upgraded 3D detection and obstacle avoidance technology recognizes objects with high-precision resolution to avoid collisions and entanglements, or even disruptions.
The Deebot T9+ is capable of sweeping, vacuuming and mopping all at once and leaves your floors looking as clean as new. The disposable mopping pads are simple to put on, and the microfiber fabric effectively traps dust, blocks away stains and avoids leaving the residue. The large 2.5L auto-empty stations are able to hold up to 30 days of trash without leaking. This makes it simple to keep the home clean with minimum effort. The T9+ has an upgraded 3000Pa motor that delivers powerful suction to ensure the most thorough cleaning.
4. iRobot Combo j7+
The iRobot Combo j7+ robot is a great option for cleaning floors. It's a vacuum and mop all in one. It is a great navigational device and obstacle avoidance. It can help you map your clean and tidy areas without hitting furniture or walls. It's also easy to use the app to designate zones for areas that must be cleaned, or areas that you would like to avoid, as well as establish specific no-mop and no-sweep boundaries.
iRobot’s iAdapt technology 2.0 is an integral element that makes Combo j7+ smart. The front camera of the majority of the robots made by iRobot is used to stay clear of hazards such as pet waste and power cords. iAdapt 2.0 also allows the Combo j7+ robot to identify dirt levels and focus more specifically on areas of dirt.
When the Combo j7+ detects that it's on a floor that needs to be cleaned then a tiny robot arm that has mop pads lifts from under the vacuum. It then mop the floor until the mopping pad is dry which takes only 90 minutes.
The Combo J7+ is able to sense carpeting, too. This is ideal for homes with a mix of hard flooring and rugs. It will not try to push the rug across it, but instead will pull away if it senses it cannot make it across the area without damaging the carpet or damaging itself.
I found it easy to control the Combo J7+ using the mobile app, which is very intuitive and well-designed. It works with Google Assistant and Amazon Alexa so you can begin cleaning with voice. The only issue I encountered was that the Combo j7+'s small water tank means you'll need to refill it often, or else limit its cleaning to smaller areas and use eco-mode more often.
The Combo J7+ comes with an extremely small dust bin that you must empty manually. I also found the Combo j7+'s mop pads be less efficient than other brands, which is a shame because it's an otherwise excellent combination robot.
